AvantGo Comes to Windows Mobile Smartphones

Although Windows Mobile for Smartphone users have wireless access to the Internet, there are times when this isn't available. And not everyone has an unlimited data plan.
That's why Sybase's iAnywhere subsidiary has introduced a beta version of its AvantGo client for devices running this operating system.
AvantGo is a free service that lets users access web sites that have been specially formatted for small screens. It offers content from USA Today, Forbes, CNET, The Golf Channel, Reuters, AccuWeather, and many more.
Smartphone users have the option to update their content wirelessly or via desktop synchronization. The content of sites is downloaded and stored on the device for viewing later, or users have the option to view the sites live when a wireless connection is present.
This beta supports Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003, 2003 SE, and Windows Mobile 5.
To sign up for this service, visit the AvantGo web site. Existing subscribers can go to www.avantgo.com/download to get a copy of the Windows Mobile Smartphone beta.
